Sight Power’s participation in industry conferences reflects its commitment to advancing digital transformation in mining through practical, proven technologies. We present our DIGITAL MINE™ approach and the GMIS-based Mine Advisor™ system, demonstrating how integrated data collection, modeling, and distributed sensor networks create a unified operational environment for mines.
A key focus of our discussions is how flexible GMIS adaptation allows companies to improve efficiency without changing their established workflows, while automation and real-time data exchange reduce delays and technical errors across teams. We also share insights from our work in developing advanced monitoring systems for mineshafts and transportation tunnels, combining laser scanning, high-resolution imaging, and AI-driven analysis to enhance safety, accuracy, and decision-making throughout the mining lifecycle.
As part of the official Canadian delegation, SightPower participated in the program held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, from June 2 to 6, 2025.
SightPower was honored to represent Canada in the international program: “Partnership Development Activity: Canadian Mining Technology Research & Development Partnering Delegation to Brazil.”
During the visit, we had the opportunity to present our digital transformation technologies and platform to a wide range of Brazilian small- and medium-sized technology firms, research institutions, and mining-related organizations. We also engaged in productive discussions with major mining companies such as Samarco and Vale, as well as with prominent equipment and service providers like GEOPAR Holding.
SightPower is actively following up with all established contacts and looks forward to building strong partnerships with Brazilian clients and collaborators.
SightPower at Canada’s National Geospatial Leadership Conference, GeoIgnite 2025.
SightPower took part in the CEMI-MICA mission to South Africa (Johannesburg-Cape Town). We had a lot of discussion at sidelines of Indaba exhibition. Plenty of great meetings, powerful potential for acquiring new leads and for bringing Canadian technologies to RSA. Many thanks to MICA for organizing this great event!
“Digitalization in Mining, Australia” in Perth was the last one out of four thematic conferences / exhibitions planned for this year (Santiago, Vancouver and Stockholm preceded). The suggested format of this series is very interesting since there are only 10-15 exhibitors, big conference, and a lot of discussions on sidelines.
It is really an inspiring event that opens opportunities for mining companies which want not “on paper” but practically increase effectiveness of their operations and eventually profit by go digital. Mining industry is moving towards digital transformation, and we are happy to make our deposit to this inevitable process. Our leading technology may help clients making this transition to digital world relatively fast, smooth, and effective. We had many great discussions in Perth, and we look forward to converting them to long-term collaboration projects!
Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA, Sudbury, Ontario, CANADA – September 6, 2023 – SightPower is excited to announce the awarding of $CAD 612K funding from the Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) for the development of an Automated Mine Shaft Inspection AI-based system for the global mining industry.
A National Network of Innovation for Mining, MICA is designed to bridge the innovation-commercialization gaps that delay commercial success, domestically and globally.
MICA leverages public and private sector investments to benefit the mining sector, both domestic and global, and the Canadian economy by investing in and advancing made-in-Canada solutions and integrating cross-sector innovators nationally, and fostering networking opportunities and intersectoral collaboration to generate synergies and help increase the number, scale, and market reach of Canadian SMEs.
“Digitalization in Mining, Europe” in Stockholm was the third out of four thematic conferences / exhibitions planned for this year (Santiago and Vancouver preceded the Stockholm event and Sydney will be the next one). Great event, great discussions, and new opportunities.
It is great to notice how mining industry drifts to digital transformation and it is cool to be part of this metamorphic transformation of the whole mining world. The advantages and the uniqueness of our technology becomes more obvious for the clients with each consequent event. We look forward to finding new opportunities in November at the Perth (Australia) conference!
Now we can resurrect our innovative ideas for mineshaft inspection automation. Eventually we have a great opportunity to commercialize our technology. We are sure it will bring a lot of benefits to Canadian and world mining industry!
We were happy to participate in Celebrating Innovators – Bridging the Mining Innovation Gap. Great initiative, remarkable event, and great discussions!
Digitalization in Mining North America in Vancouver was the second out of four thematic conferences / exhibitions planned for this year (Santiago was the first one, and Stockholm and Sydney will be the next ones). The concept of digitalization becomes more and more popular. The Vancouver event had bigger scale comparably to the initial one in Santiago.
Plenty of interesting connections, discussion, new opportunities, and new potential leads. It was the unique place to exchange ideas and to explain the advantages of our technology! We are looking forward to the following events in Stockholm (Sweden) and Perth (Australia).
Digitalization in Mining Lat Am in Santiago was the first out of four thematic conferences / exhibitions planned for this year (Vancouver, Stockholm and Sydney will be the next ones). Great point of inception, we had a lot of interesting discussions and contacts, and we look forward seeing further successful development of this great initiative!
